Meet Us

Malakye Anderson
(He/Him)

Executive Director

Anderson served on the first Berea Pride committee. In subsequent years he served as co-chair, festival chair, and now serves as the Executive Director of Berea Pride. He later created the non-profit, The 11th House Foundation, Inc., to continue the vision that was started for this community. Anderson is passionate about young people being able to see themselves represented in the world. Proving that despite all obstacles anything is possible.

Analeila Rodriguez
(She/Her)

Secretary

Raised in Orlando, Florida, Rodriguez learned the hard truth of houselessness and the reality of those affected by it at a young age. Unable to ignore the prevalence of suffering running rampant in her city, as a child she spent time volunteering for various nonprofit outreach organizations aimed at providing much needed services to the many houseless communities and is grateful for the opportunity to continue that work. She has a passion for gardening, creating art, video games, making and enjoying music, and reading.

Katrina (Kat) Reid
(She/Her)

Website and Press Manager

Katrina is a Berea transplant whose spent 12 years putting down roots in the community. She got her first taste of non-profit advocacy work in 2014 as the outreach coordinator for the local farmers market. At her current day job, she’s an operations manager for a small grassroots company that builds website presences for therapists all over the world. She’s a member of the polyamorous community and identifies as pansexual and demiromantic. She’s also a mother of four, and she’s co-authored several young adult fantasy anthologies. When she’s not herding cats, she spends her time reading, baking, writing, and geeking out about all things nerdy.

Esper Jett
(She/They)

Festival Chair

Cast iron queer, Esper Jett (they/she) has been out of the closet since middle school. They have always had a passion for the dramatic and grew up in the theater and the band. They believe that drag gives us all the chance to express ourselves in new and exciting ways and that PRIDE festivals are an integral way to show support for those that may not feel supported elsewhere. Esper is pleased to be a part of the committee this year, and proud to be the 2024 Festival Chair.
